Vairamani - Working in Graveyard for the past 26 years
Vairamani was acquainted with death at a young age. She used to accompany her undertaker father to graveyards from the age of 10 and took over when he died. Married to an auto rickshaw driver, she also took up the profession to support her father did. The grim surroundings in which she spends her day have not changed Vairamani. But in contrast with the death, she deals with every day, her home is filled with life, with pet dogs and cats running about.
Vairamani voluntarily undertakes the final rites of unclaimed or abandoned corpses.
